  9. This one is my step-mother's recipe.  I'd never eaten anything like it
  10. until Dad married her and I love it...From memory:

  12. Cheryl's Taco Salad [pronounced Chair-el :-)]

  14. 1 can kidney beans, drained
  15. 1 lb. hamburger cooked with taco seasoning, drained and cooled
  16. 1 head lettuce, chopped or shredded
  17. 1 package grated sharp cheddar cheese
  18. 1 tomato, chopped
  19. 1/4 cup chopped scallions
  20. Thousand Island salad dressing
  21. Doritos

  23. Combine lettuce, hamburger, beans, scallions, tomatoes and cheese.
  24. Serve with Doritos crumbled on top and Thousand Island dressing.

  26. To make it lower in fat, substitute ground turkey for the
  27. hamburger, use a fat-free Thousand Island dressing and crumble up baked
  28. tortilla chips instead of fried ones.
